Cant access your website/email/ftp? Server Status page says everything is online?

It's likely that you've been blocked by our firewall. The server may appear as down because the firewall blocks all access to the server.

You can check this and unblock your IP address by logging into the client area and navigating to 'My Services' -> 'View Details' -> where you will find an option to check and unblock your IP.

 

If you are trying to login to cPanel and are seeing a 'brute force' warning, this is a seperate system to the firewall, but the block can be removed using the same process above. Click here for more information.

The most common reason for being blocked by our firewall is because of FTP or Mail clients trying to connect to the server repeatedly with the incorrect details.


Before unblocking your IP, be sure to check for any devices that may be attempting to connect to check email with incorrect details, as you may find that your IP gets blocked again. Similarly for FTP, check that you've closed your FTP software to prevent further login attempts if you were trying to login to FTP before getting blocked.
