Brute Force Warning / Cant Login

You may see a 'brute force' warning when trying to log in if you or some one else has attempted to log in with the incorrect password more than 5 times, or it may simply say Login Invalid, when you are using the correct details.

Brute force lock-outs only last 10 minutes however you can remove the block and get immediate access again by going to 'My Services' -> 'View Details' -> where you will find an option to check and unblock your IP.

If you've lost connectivity to the server after trying to login numerous times (usually to FTP or Mail) then you may have been blocked by our firewall, which is seperate to the brute force system.

Such bans in the firewall can last as much as an hour. If you believe you've been blocked, you should look read this article, however the process of unblocking your self is the same as the above process.

If you use a Mac, sometimes there can be problems when your login details are stored in the 'key chains' area. It can cause the stored details to be sent to the server before you even get a chance to press the login button, or it may allow you to put in login details, but it still sends the stored ones without your knowledge. To rule this out, you may wish to reconsider removing any stored passwords you have for us from your key chains area.
